Greenlink grows a generous selection of indigenous plants from the greater Whitehorse area of Melbourne. Unfortunately due to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Trees

A perennial plant typically having an elongated stem/trunk supporting branches and leaves growing to a considerable height. Small tree - less than 8m Large tree - over 8m Unfortunately due to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Shrubs

Perennial woody plant of relatively low structure, typically with several stems arising from or near the ground. Small shrub - to 1.5m Medium shrub - up to 4m Large shrub - over 4m Unfortunatelydue to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Grasses

Vegetation consisting of typically short plants with narrow leaves growing wild or cultivated on lawns and pasture and as a fodder crop, typically herbaceous plant with joint stems. Unfortunately due to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Climbers

Any plant with a long stem that grows along the ground or that climbs a supporting structure by winding itself or clinging with tendrils. Unfortunately due to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Flowers

Low growing perennial non-woody plants with colourful flowers, botanically called perennial herb. Perfect en masse in rockeries and cottage gardens and come in many forms ie: clumping, spreading, lily, and rosette, best pruned after flowering. Clumping - mature plant to 50cm Spreading - mature plant to 50cm high, spreading to 50-80cm wide Unfortunatelydue to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Groundcovers

Low growing plant which spreads out to cover the ground. They can be clumping, a scrambler or spreading flowers. They are generally less than about 30cm tall. Unfortunately due to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Ferns / Orchids

Ferns generally consist of one or more fronds attached to a rhizome. A frond is simply the leaf of the fern. A rhizome is a specialised root like stem. Orchids usually have showy 3-petaled flowers with the middle petal enlarged into a lip and differing from the others in shape and color. Unfortunatelydue to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.

Wetland

Plants adapted to growing in soil that is at least periodically flooded with water or that thrive in moist soil conditions. Wetland plants range from sedges, pond, rush or spreading plants Unfortunately due to demand, at times we could be out of stock of certain species.
