Small to medium sized upright tree with fine, needle-like grey green foliage. Dioecious. Rust brown male flower spikes. Red female flowers followed by small cones.
Useful as a windbreak, screening, shade source. Can be planted alone or in groups. Drought tolerant.
Indigenous name: WAYETUCK (Woi Wurrung)
Wood used to make boomerangs and other implements. Young shoots and cones eaten.
