An aquatic fern that prefers slow moving or still water, with fronds producing soft green four leaf clover-shaped leaflets, generally floating on the surface of the water. Can die back over winter months.
A plant for shallow water or boggy soils beside ponds. It grows vigorously and is best grown in combination with other wetland plants.
Indigenous name: DULLUM DULLUM (Wemba Wemba)
The spore cases were roasted and the soft spores were separated out and mixed with water to make a damper.
