Aquatic and semi-aquatic tufted plant with glossy ribbon-like foliage and upright flower spikes to 50cm.
Attractive plant for flowing water - foliage moving with the current, or smaller as a marginal on land. Can be used in pond and bog pots.
Indigenous name: POL-AN-GO (Wathaurong)
The sweet tubers were eaten either raw or cooked.
